The Oak was worse than expected

Pizza was crumbly and there was not much topping on it. The one with mozzarella di bufala was like a red base with some cold cheese and cold cherry tomatoes on the top. The other one was with sausages, mushrooms, pecorino cheese and parseley but they should have put more ingridients. The base was really dry and cruncy. We also had a starter and two glasses of wine and the total bill was 52 pound.
Quite pricy too.

Beautiful garden but food a bit disappointing

In a beautiful sunny day we decided to try The Couch and Hourses in Barnes. We choose it because of its garden, very greeen and big . We waited quite long time for our meals and at the end I regret my choise. The rump steak I ordered was not really soft but quite difficult to cut and to chew.
My friends had hamburgers and chicken wrap and they said it was ok.
The price was not high we spent just 15 pounds each for food and drinks (cokes and beers).

A fabulous fishcake in London

Fishcake is one of my favourite traditional English food and there is a place which makes the best salmon fishcake in London. It is a little cafe where you can eat in or take away and it is conveniently located next to a little park where you can have your food. This place is called Whole Hog and you can find it in Fulham palace road. They have a great mix of salads that you can add to your main dish and their tartar dressing is lovely. I usually don't like tartar dressing except this one. I would love to have their fabulous fishcake every day but unfortunately they make it only on Friday at lunch time and they close quite early in the afternoon and that's quite disappointing. The total price is 5 pounds.

Pizza Rotti? no thanks

We were hungry and we decided to eat pizza in green park. I saw this place many times but never tried it. Well..I had the worst pizza ever. We had to wait one hour and the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. At some point we moved inside because it started to be cold. We then noticed that the restaurant was just 4 square metres, not really clean and the kitchen is in the basement. After waiting some more time out pizza arrived. It was really small, not cooked at all, the taste was awful, they put salad on the top of it instead of rocket and there was some bresaola sliced very thick quite difficult to eat. Price was 16£ for a pizza and a beer.
I suggest to avoid this place if you can. My friend had pasta and he said it was bad as well.

Pappagallo Riccione the greatest seafood in Italy

Fresh amazing seafood, huge portions, good price. I love this place. To begin with I had a starter, it comes with fornarina bread, the portion is big and it is not full of vegetables like in many restaurants but it is full of seafood which is what you want!
I had also homemade taglioni with loads of seafood on it, they were absolutely great, well cooked and seafood was extremely fresh. It was only one portion, not two and it was huge as you can see in the picture. To finish with I had grilled calamari and gamberi called spiedino in italian. Again it was sublime. They also have a good selection of local wines, like verdicchio and many others.
2 starters,1 seafood tagliolino, 1 seafood spiedino, 2 expressos, wine and water for 52€.

Honest burger a good one in central L

It has been told me this hamburger is very good so I went there with high expectation. It was Wednesday night and we had to wait from 15 to 8 till 9:30. We stayed just outside the place chatting and drinking. Finally we went inside and we had to sit in a small table a bit squeezed. I ordered the honest burger without chips but salad instead. The burger was good not so big though as at almost 10 o'clock I was really hungry. It was made with some cooked onion probably caramelaized which I liked and melted cheddar. Bread was simple. They have good beer choices on the menu and I tried a few chips as well and they are really good with some rosemary on the top, actually one of the beast chips I tried. Price is quite cheap probably that's why this place is so popular we spent 13 £ each. Nice for a night out with friends.

About Thyme, is that a good restaurant?

We choose it because reviews were quite good and the place where we wanted to go was full. We sat upstairs where the environment is a bit more posh, there are white table covers while there isn't any downstairs. There was a set menu available where you can chose one starter and one main course in a set of 5 or 6. The price of a set menu is 21£. We went for it, I choose a starter made with peppers and mushroom but I couldn't taste any mushroom it was more likely a red pepper cooked in the oven filled with some Philadelphia cheese. I had a risotto with mushrooms which is a typical choice of mine, not because I want to eat Italian food but because I believe that if a cook puts it on its menu and the price is so high then the risotto has to be cooked properly otherwise what's the point of cooking a so difficult dish? Well I had good risotto in some English places but this one won't end up in that list. They didn't put cream which is good but it was extremely overcooked. One of my friends had salmon steak which was good but I can cook salmon steak at home, and others had chicken with potatoes and spinach and they said it was good.
Deserts were ok, I tried cream brulé but I had better cream brulé somewhere else and my friend had a cheese cake with berries and that was actually good.
Overall I would have expected more from this place at this price. We also had 2 glasses of red wine.
We spent 35£ each which I think is not cheap.
